Owen Pappoe Auburn

6002 225 (Arm - Hands)

Drew Sanders Arkansas

6041 233 (Arm - Hands)

  • + Good pass rusher off the edge (uses hands well on swims and hand swipes) Slippery on backs

  • + Shifty w/o losing speed as a pass rusher

  • + Stunt rushing out to in w/o fear

  • + Moves light on toes allowing to sidestep blocks

  • + Good long striding speed (6)

  • - Tackles too high and leaves his feet (lot of misses)

  • -Change of direction isn’t fluid (struggles w/ speed) in coverage (4)

Blitzing WLB

Noah Sewell Oregon

6015 246 (Arm 31 5/8 - 10 Hands) 4.64 40

  • + True stack and shed power (27 BP reps), fast and ready 2nd level hands (UCLA) with great stoutness at the POA inside

  • + Can hold his own on tight ends on the edge (31 5/8 arm length)

  • + Improved agility in 2022 in coverage seen by body type change

  • + Awareness to pullers and moving tight ends during the play to scrape towards the run

  • + Moves on his toes with good body control early in play development

  • + Power to stun offensive lineman on delayed rushes/ occasionally enough agility to gain an edge on guards, but more of a power rusher

  • + Doesn’t leave leaking tight ends unaccounted for

  • - Stiff change of direction to redirect original flow (open field tackling will pop up)

  • - Really lacking slither to sift through the traffic

  • - Below average play speed to protect the edge and close off contain, below average play speed to close from the backside (want him inside the box if away from play-side gets caught behind on outside runs)

  • - Backfield eye candy will distract him away from the play design/ bites pretty strong on PA

  • - Losing track of the ball is not abnormal, has chased the wrong player/ will float off of a receiver in zone following QB eyes (Anticipation must improve as sub-par reactive athletisicsm allows him to be washed out entirely)

  • - When he does his own thing and guess wrong there’s little recovery ability, when he guesses right there flash

  • - 3rd down impact in serious question (not an elite rusher and not a man to man matchup guy)

Aligned at off-ball and as a stand-up edge. Developmental mike linebacker with the toughness to be useful early on ST

Trenton Simpson Clemson

6021 235 (Arm 32 3/8 - 10 1/4 Hands) 4.43 40

  • + Zone coverage agility, gets depth in pedal with ease and has good stop and start quickness

  • + Attacks running backs when pass rushing with ready hands and heads up awareness to effect passing lanes

  • + Reactive agility defending the run to patrol and close

  • + Active eyes in zone coverage demonstrating effective route awareness (will cut off routes)

  • + Plays with a tough demeanor/ senses screen setup and attacks receivers/ tight ends

  • + Real upper body strength (25BP) and length off the edge with upside in the box (flashing on blocks)

  • - Tackling technique could improve for more consistency and power

  • - Pad level rises when aggressively shooting gaps or protecting the edge

  • - Gets too steep upfield to set a contain on the edge (Caught on end around vs SC) plays out his shoes occasionally

  • - Caught peeking too often leaving his assignment to attempt to make a play

  • - Not natural at playing the ball through the receiver yet, but man to man movement skills are present

  • - Needs to lean on feet and transition rather than chucking routes (coverage exp should help)

  • - Few ways to win as a pass rusher off the edge, uses agility inside to try to free stunts

WLB protected by a 2I allowing to shoot the A gap. Not a ton of off-ball experience

Dorian Williams Tulane

6006 228 (Arm 32 3/4- 10 1/4 Hands)
